We have some fantastic news: The Paper Bear has been officially selected for the Florida Film Festival in Orlando, Florida, which will take place from April 11 to 20, 2025. Out of nearly 3,000 submissions, we’re honored to be among the record-breaking 187 films showcased this year.
We’re thrilled to announce that the world premiere of our nonprofit feature film will happen right here in Florida—where many of you have been cheering us on from day one. Not only does this mean we get to celebrate our very first public screening with new friends and longtime supporters alike, but it also happens during one of the most dynamic film festivals in the country.

Join us at one (or both!) of these screenings if you can. We’ll buzz around, say hello, share stories, and participate in the festival’s many film-loving festivities. It will be a heartfelt celebration of creativity, community, and the spirit of independent cinema—something we hold incredibly dear.
Of course, The Paper Bear wouldn’t have made its grand entrance without the amazing hard work and unwavering support of every single member of our team, our donors, and the extended family of believers who helped bring this film to life. We like to think that the film’s story—the power of compassion, perseverance, and hope—will resonate with all who watch it.
Join Our Special Panel: The Birds and the Bears: Exploring Impact Filmmaking in Florida
What does it take to share the land with Florida’s wildlife? Through the lens of The Paper Bear and “The Little Brown Bird,” this panel dives into the power of film to inspire action, shape conservation efforts, and bring attention to the delicate balance between people and nature. Filmmakers, directors, and animators will discuss the creative process behind their work, the role of storytelling in protecting Florida’s biodiversity, and how the Florida Wildlife Corridor is helping to secure a future where both humans and animals can thrive.
Join us for an engaging conversation about using film to move the needle on environmental impact and drive meaningful change. This event is free and open to the public!
